This planning aid has been prepared for the Naval Sea Systems Command (SEA 03W46) by the Naval Air Warfare Center. This computerized system was developed from the Magazine Arrangement Planning Aid (MAPA), a manual system which uses plan views of the ship's magazines and weapon container/ ready service templates. The MAPA system was developed in response to fleet requests for a means to quickly and easily develop alternate loadout arrangements for magazines to meet changing operational requirements. The MAPA-C system has been developed to further enhance loadout arrangement capability and to reduce the likelihood of operator error. The MAPA-C system has been modeled around the manual system and contains the same information as the MAPA kit but also has additional capabilities.
